I'm Back!

Well, I'm back at it again. Last year was my last year of playing with the house's money, so I had to buck up this year. I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to be able to do that since Tiffany and I are now engaged and we have weddings and honeymoons to pay for... but I'm going to worry about 2015 in 2015.

In 2014, I've got my seat assignment - Brasilia Silver, Table 40, Seat 8... 12pm PT, Monday July 7th. I'm a little nervous, I've always started in Amazon before... and they aren't using Brasilia for Days 1A or 1B, so it's probably going to be the first to be broken.

No matter. I have no work. No wedding planning. No letting the dog out. No responsibilities other than making it to the next day...  I love the WSOP!

So I've been running pretty well lately - I cashed in the only event I played in for the Chicago Poker Classic in May... then followed that up with a big cash at the Wynn weekly Saturday tournament.

At the Wynn, we started with one hundred and twenty some people at noon and by 1:30am, there were seven of us left. I agreed to a chop since I was getting the second most money (Half my entry fee for the Main), but not playing down to the glory of the win or the bitter agony of defeat still pains me. But hey, it got me to the Main Event.

Tiffany and I have been out here since Thursday - we saw a couple shows and did a lot of relaxing until she left this morning. Then I got myself a massage, will be getting a steak dinner, and I'm just nervously passing time for the next 20 hours or so.

Anyway, as with the past couple of years, I will try to blog about what's happening on break between the rounds... so about every 2 hours. Hopefully there shouldn't be too much to blog about, I'm hoping to start nice and slow tomorrow. Day 1 Strategy - Don't Get Knocked Out.
